Description of the Unit
This unit develops the skills and knowledge needed to
help identify the dominant cultures of the learner’s
own organisation and to recognise how this might impact
on their progress towards building an inclusive workforce
or managing its diversity.
The unit is mainly concerned with investigating the culture
of an organisation, reflecting on the finings, and making
decisions about what needs to change in order to address
diversity in the workplace. |

Summary of Outcomes
Successful completion of this unit requires that the learner:

Explores the concept of ‘culture’. |
2. |
Evaluates the main aspects of their own organisational
culture and an analysis of the underlying reasons for
these. |

Analyse the barriers to effective good practices in
equality and diversity. |

Plan how to raise awareness on unacceptable behaviour
within the organisation |
